The Unified Sports program is going to be putting on a Unified Basketball game during the 3rd period on Thursday, March 13th from 1:25 pm - 1:55 pm (last 30 minutes of class). I have some athletes who can’t make night games so we are making a day game to make it accessible. The game will be played in the Aux Gym. Both teams will be made up of North Eugene students. If you are available, I would love to pack the stands and cheer on Unified Basketball. Come get a bag of popcorn for free and enjoy the game.
FEMA 2025 Youth Preparedness Council
Do you know youth grades 8-11 who are interested in disaster preparedness and helping their community prepare for disasters such as wildfires, ice storms, and earthquakes? (Please scroll down to read this information in Spanish)
The application for the FEMA 2025 Youth Preparedness Council is now open! This is an opportunity for youth to impact their community and contribute to the national conversation about disaster preparedness. Students will gain professional skills and build new relationships through connections with their local and state emergency management partners. While on the council, members will:
The application is open until March 14, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PST. The application portal is currently down for maintenance, but youth can submit a PDF application to FEMA-Prepare@FEMA.dhs.gov.
OEM aims to create a council representative of the different communities in Oregon and encourages students from all backgrounds and regions of Oregon to apply .

Volunteer Opportunity- Eugene Public Library Book Sale!
Attached is a flyer with a QR code to a Google sign-up form. After they sign up, they will be sent a link inviting them to volunteer for a particular shift.
Safe Routes to Schools
Do you or your child want to learn how to ride a bike?
Join 4J Safe Routes to School and partners at either or both of these all-ages, free, learn to ride a bike events coming up. Helmets and bikes will be provided, or bring your own.
Remember, these events are free and are for people of ALL AGES who do not yet know how to ride a bike!

NEW! Internet Safety Video Series. As part of our district's ongoing commitment to student safety and well-being, we’re excited to introduce SCREEN SENSE—a five-part video series created in partnership with the University of Oregon. The 3-minute videos are designed to help families navigate the ever-changing digital landscape and support safe, healthy internet use for school-aged children.
