Highlander Highlights Week #3
Highlander Fans,
I have been reminded how emotional high school athletics are for some involved. We have the highest of highs one week and lows the next week. Our girls soccer is on a high after a solid 2-0 win versus Summit HS. This is the first time in memory that they have beat Summit. Boys cross country was on a high from a great Marist race where (I think) two boys ran under 16 minute for a 5K. Varsity football played hard for a full 48 minutes versus Willamette and JV football started off their season with a win. Boys soccer played a very good Beaverton team on Tuesday and competed the whole game. Volleyball had a tough week of games after a first place finish at the South Eugene Tournament. They are looking forward to a few days off to regroup.
This coming week, you have an opportunity to watch girls soccer at home, volleyball in a cross town game versus Churchill and then finish the week of we a Football game versus Eagle Point.
